Nellie is a diamond in the rough! Her fawn coat may be thin and lacking, but her smile will light a room. Nellie is a 4 year old girl and has not received a lot of love and attention in the last few years so she is learning how to adjust back to family life. Although her foster mom has nicknamed her “Nervous Nellie” when meeting new people, once she’s determined she’s safe – she’s all about the love and the dobie lean! Her self confidence is building and her quirky personality is shining thru!. She loves to snuggle, play with her toys and steal your spot on the couch. She is crate trained, house trained and knows a few basic commands. She’s extremely smart, and always willing to please. She could benefit from some additional training to help boost her confidence and build the bond with her new family.
Nellie gets along with other dogs, but would be best suited as an only dog, or in a home with a large brother that likes to run and play. She is not recommended around cats, and due to her nervous nature with strangers needs to be placed in an experienced doberman home with older children.
