Chico has had a very rough past. When he came into rescue, he was found with a deeply embedded collar and other wounds that told the story of a lifetime of pain. Despite everything, Chico is choosing joy. He’s embracing life, learning what love looks like, and discovering how good it feels to be cared for.

✨ About Chico:

•🗓4 year old male Doberman

• 🩺Neutered & up to date on vaccines and preventative. 

• 🏡 Requires a home with a physically fenced yard

• 🐕 Good with large breed dogs

• 🐾 Cats and small dogs are unknown

• 👧 Teenagers only or no kids

• 🚗 Rides beautifully in the car and happily hops in!

• 🏠 Completely house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out, come in, or if the water bowl is empty

Chico loves running and playing with his Doberman foster brother, and with proper nutrition his coat is now silky soft, shiny, and beautiful. Because of his past, he can still be nervous if strangers reach for him too quickly—but he takes treats ever so gently and is learning how wonderful it is to be spoiled 🥹

Chico is proof that resilience and love can heal even the deepest wounds. He’s ready for a patient, understanding home that will continue to show him kindness and consistency.
