🚗 Rides beautifully in the car and happily hops in!

🏠 Completely house trained and will let you know when he needs to go out, come in, or if the water bowl is empty

Chico is a happy and energetic boy who is getting his second shot at life. He is a delight to his foster Mom, who is so proud of how far he has come in only a couple of months. He is one of the smartest, fastest-learning dogs she has ever fostered. Chico’s past was clearly ugly, and he had to be on guard for abuse. This is no longer the case—he is loved, cherished, and happy now.

But, Chico is a work in progress, and he is not a starter dobe. He will be placed with an owner who has experience with dogs who have had to be tough to protect themselves, an owner who will understand his submissive smile and will not coddle him because of his past, a strong pack leader who gives him rules and structure in addition to love. This requires experience, but Chico thrives on discipline, and a few months invested in his training will reward ten-fold the family willing to do the homework to give him what he needs

Chico is located in Cincinnati, Ohio.  While out-of-state adopters are welcome, they must come meet Chico in person, to finalize his adoption.
