Hi there, I’m Canelo! You know, life is like a game of fetch for me – lots of fun, a little challenging, and I’m always ready to chase after the next adventure. I’m a 2-year-old red Doberman, and while I may be big, I promise I’m just a gentle giant with a heart full of love to share.
My foster parent tells me I’m a ‘medium energy’ boy, and I think that sounds about right. I’ve got a youthful spirit that makes me excited to see each new day, but after a good walk or a playful game of ball, I’m perfectly content to snuggle up and take a peaceful nap.
I’m still learning some of the ins and outs of house rules. I understand most of them, but sometimes my playful side gets the better of me. That’s why my foster parent recommends a crate when I’m home alone, at least until I’ve fully grasped all the rules. But don’t worry, I’m good in the crate and I promise to do my best to learn quickly!
I love people, and I can get a little jumpy when I’m excited. Because of my size, I would fit best in a home without very small children. I’m a big boy, and I wouldn’t want to accidentally knock anyone over with my enthusiasm. But older kids? I think we’d get along great!
One thing you should know about me is that I’m a quiet boy. I don’t bark much – I prefer to show my feelings through my expressive eyes and my wagging tail. I have a very even temper, and I think I would make an excellent companion for an active person or couple who can spend quality time with me.
So, what do you think? Could you be the one to join me in a game of fetch, take me on long walks, and then snuggle up for a movie at the end of the day? In return, I promise you my unending loyalty, companionship, and love. I hope to meet you soon!
