Adopt Cecil

Location: Lexington, Kentucky 

Cecil is an 8-year-old red male Doberman with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives, ready to find his forever home.

This gentle boy is shy and sensitive, and he’s looking for a patient, calm, and loving home that will allow him the time he needs to truly learn how to be a dog. Cecil requires a home with someone who is home the majority of the time. He gets quite anxious when left alone. Cecil does best with other calm, easygoing dogs who respect his space; young or hyper dogs would not be a good match for him. He is reported to have previously lived with a cat, though we have not personally cat-tested him.

Cecil will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time and is willing to go at his pace. A physically fenced yard is required. He is not a fan of crates and does best when allowed to roam comfortably in the home.

Cecil is located in Louisville, Kentucky. While out-of-state adopters are welcome, they must come meet Cecil in person, to finalize his adoption.
